Restaurant Review- Vienna City.

Hi darls!

It was about 9pm in Kumasi and a foodie like me wanted to eat out. After racking my brain on where to go to knowing that 9pm is "very late" to kumasi folks and most places including restaurants would be closed!! :'( .

It came down to two options: Vienna City or KFC. I decided to go to Vienna.

Vienna City is a club/bar/restaurant /lounge. You'll  have no problem getting to the place as every taxi driver knows the place. I wasn't pleased to pay to enter the place though TO EAT!

PROS
The restaurant is on the first floor of the building. The setting is actually quiet comfortable and they have enough air conditioners to keep away the Kumasi heat.

A waiter is at your table immediately with their menu. After a few minutes she's back to take your order.

You don't have to wait long to get your drinks served.
Depending on the food you order, it can take as long as 20 minutes to get your food.

Their food is amazingly prepared I must say. I had their spaghetti with tomato and shrimp sauce. It was amazing. Not too spicy not bland either. The spaghetti didn't stick together and the cheese and all other ingredients tasted good together. It was just right. I also had their chips. It was really good as well. Not soggy not burnt or dry.

Their salad I'd give a thumbs up.

CONS

The loud music from the club downstairs gets upstairs and you have to speak to the person beside you or your waiter with your voice raised.

The restaurant isn't big and you might get there and have to wait for a while to be seated. Not had that problem though.

Of course paying to enter. I went there with 3 people, we had to pay 60 Ghana cedis to enter which is more than everything I ate!

PRICING

My plate of spaghetti was 32 Ghana cedis which is about 1,700 Nigerian naira, 9 U.S dollars and 6 pounds using the current exchange rate. I'd say not bad at all.

I  had juice and a bottle of water which was about 16 Ghana cedis in total.

FINAL REMARKS

Would I go back there again? Most definitely!
The dj played some really  good music so there was some sort of groovy vibe going I totally loved. Nothing like good food and good music.

You should definitely  stop by whenever you are in kumasi, Ghana and let me know what you think!
