Filmhouse Signature Lounge Lagos Review

Hello foodie fam!

Do you like our new name Foodie Nation? I know I do.

Mr bae wanted to spend some time looking at my face the other day so we decided to go to Signature Lounge which is located in IMAX cinema in Lekki phase 1.

We were ravenous and so we didnt waste time placing our orders.

The first thing I'm going to say is; whatever music mix they had playing, was perfect. My shazam was working over time.

A waiter escorted us to our table with drink and food menus. For the first time in my years of eating out, I knew exactly what I wanted to eat...I deserve accolades! 

Here's another point for Signature Lounge,  everything on their menu was available. If you're familiar with the restaurant scene in Nigeria you'll know why I mention this.

We asked for their seafood pasta and their beef burger with a side of chips.

 For starters, I got me some gizdodo which is a mixture of gizzards and soft ripe plantains fried together in a pepper sauce. It's not as spicy as it sounds. I really enjoyed the gizdodo.

Our food arrived in less than 15minutes. My seafood pasta first and the beef burger followed shortly.

Now, let's talk about the food. Which is why we are here innit?

My seafood pasta was a plate of penne pasta in cream sauce with calamari and shrimps.

 I got two nicely sized pieces of shrimp and a generous amount of calamari. The chef clearly knows his way around an Alfredo. It was a delightful plate. I enjoyed hunting for calamari.

As for the beef burger, I felt it could've been bigger but their patty was tender not chewy like some Nigerian beef patties *side eyes*.

Their chips was just right.

As for drink options, you either get cocktails, soft drinks or the hard stuff. We got soft drinks.

As it got darker, some friends decided to come hang with us and we moved the party to their outdoor setting which is equally as cozy.

Also I must mention, parking space isn't a problem and for smokers, you bring your own smoke and you're only allowed to smoke in their outdoor area. Also no shisha available.

Would I go back there you ask? Yes!! I love how cozy and clean it is.
