Bayleaf Restaurant Lekki Review

Cruising along the Lekki-Epe expressway, you'll find a small building located beside a supermarket (can't remember the name). Whats stands out is the lovely wall art you would almost immediately notice.

I was around the area on a particularly hot day, was very hungry and decided to explore their menu to see if they could help me.

They first thing I noticed apart from the colourful wall art inside the space was the small space. 12 people could easily make the place full. The owner however has managed to utilize the space perfectly.

                                                         The view from my seat.

Bayleaf is the perfect fast food joint. they have their food on display and you point at what you want. Unlike The Place restaurant or Blackbell (read this review HERE), Bayleaf packs their food in small plastic bowls so you know the portion size you'll get before hand.

Their menu is very simple. They offer: fried rice, jollof rice, white rice with ofada sauce, potato fries, Turkey, Chicken, Fish, Moimoi, Coleslaw, fried Plantains and Pastries.

I have successfully tried everything on their menu. LOL

                                                             The Ofada with Fried fish

                                                               Fried rice with Turkey

The Ofada comes with 3 pieces of plantain :(

                                                         Fried rice with Grilled Chicken

I can recommend their ofada sauce for you with my chest ( if pepper is your thing, but what is ofada without pepper ehn?)

Their meals although I would love bigger portions are really good and I would love to borrow her Chicken recipe (because damn! her chicken juicyyy!). The food is usually served with pepper sauce for those that like the extra heat. I think that is pretty considerate.

The owner of Bayleaf is a very hands-on woman. she's so friendly and you won't know when you're telling her about your aunt's friend's brother you like.  I have noticed that her ultimate goal is make sure her customers are extremely satisfied and happy and would go the extra length for this. You would often find her serving customers meals and handling the cashier while supervising her staff.

Her food is considerably cheap. Every meal pictured is under N2,000 !!!!!!!!

I thoroughly enjoy everything about this fast food joint and have gone back severally. I'm sure you can already tell my two favourite meals are her Ofada and Fried rice. Look out for them next time you find yourself around Igbo-efon area and let me know what you think.

  1. While trying very hard to get my pvc at the local government office. I decided to cool off by taking a stroll. Bayleaf's wall art made me stare till I was able to know it was a restaurant. Well used space. Will try their menu soon.

    1. Thank you Fumilola for your comment! Their wall art is definitely very attractive and I can bet it has pulled a lot of customers who just want to get out of the sun and check out that wall. Hope you got your pvc and please tell us how you find their menu when you eventually explore it.
