BLACKBELL LEKKI REVIEW
Hello foodie Fam!
If you are familiar with Admiralty way in Lekki phase one, you have probably wondered about the building covered head to toe with flower pots and greens. I know I have been. I finally was able to make out time and go eat at Black Bell. The restaurant offers Thai, Chinese and Nigerian food. It is a combination of fast casual, fine dining, bakery and lounge.
Walking in I immediately loved their black and white decor and looking ahead I immediately felt I was at the smaller version of The Place.
I had not done my research of at that time and didn't understand that we could have gone upstairs to order from a menu. I saw a menu on a board and I saw their display of food and got a bit confused.
Decided to stop thinking and fill my stomach already.
I got their rice and beans with stew and grilled titus fish which looked really welcoming aka large. My companions (let's refer to them as A, B and C) A got their coconut rice with same fish, B got their fried rice with same fish, C got their yam pottage with same fish. As you can see, the fish was really popular that day for us.
Everyone getting their food from their fast casual section must wait to pay to just 1 cashier so you can see how it would turn out; holding a tray of food waiting your turn to pay. The four of us combined paid a total of N7,500 for our food
We decided to eat upstairs because it was cozier and we didn't know that was the fine dining section LOL
We thoroughly enjoyed our food especially the yam pottage. I could tell they were very generous with the crayfish.
From my observation the next time I dropped by to explore their drink menu, their staff could get a bit overwhelmed with a full house. I had to get up and go to the bartender myself. It was after I got back that a waiter showed up with a menu.
Did I enter their bakery you ask? Of course I did! Their bread and pastries are really good and fresh. Would go back just for their bread.
Parking could get really tight but their security guys know what they are doing and you could trust them to move your car and repark.
Have you been to Black Bell ? What did you think of the place and this review?
